The Confluence Year runs from Aug 2013 - June 2014. Spend a year in INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY learning to live simply and sustainably in a home with four others in the impoverished lower west side neighborhood of Franklinton in Columbus, OH. Go deep into VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT working with a leading social service organization doing dynamic work on the margins. "Yogaville Farm," located in scenic Buckingham VA, is a small (but growing) organic farming operation situated on the banks of the James River. Our team is looking for experienced farmers and enthusiastic beginners to take part in sustainable growing practices such as: vegetable cultivation, seed saving, and fruit production operations. The primary farm sits fenced in on eight acres of nutrient rich flood plain, has expansive subterranean irrigation, and utilizes hoop houses for year round operations. Farm projects besides food production include the study of permaculture, land management, composting, green energy use, floriculture and herbaculture.
