THE COMMUNAL SOLUTION posted 1/6/2013
I’m a farmer, yet I don’t believe most “farming” is in people’s best interest, even organic farming. What I mean is like when they asked a Cuban, wasn’t it great the government gave farmers land to use and he said “great, but how am I going to pay for the food”. I’m not saying there isn’t a place for the “professional” farmer. It’s just when one looks at all the inputs and outputs, transportation, and quality of life for all, including the farmer’s quality of life, well, I think some sort of communal living would be better for all and much more sustainable and much less dependent on fossil fuels.
